Columbus Fail of the Week

You stay classy Columbus…

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A rash of car break-ins on The Ohio State University campus promoted campus police to issue a safety alert to students heading off for winter break.

CrimeTracker 10′s Jeff Hogan reported that police have been dealing with an increase of car break-ins where thieves have smashed windows to grab items in plain sight.

According to police, thieves have even targeted parking lots that are well patrolled.

“It wasn’t like we were seeing one car in one lot; we would see several cars that were broken into,” Ohio State campus police Detective Pete Dragonette said.

Police have seen more than six or eight vehicles broken into in one lot, Hogan reported.
