NFL Wolverine Of The Week

I really wanted to change it up this week and choose Leon Hall or Tim Jamison as Wolverine of the week. They both had solid weeks and Leon sealed a win for his 4-2 Bengals. But sometimes there is an unstoppable force that must not be denied. That Force is and always will be LaMarr Woodley. Woodley has been questioned in the early part of the season as to why he was paid the most of any player on a great Steelers defense. Well as usual Woodley silenced and eliminated his critics with back to back spectacular performances (with James Harrison out with an injury). LaMarr Helped his team to a close victory over the desperate Jacksonville Jags with 8 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, and a season high 2 Sacks. With a performance like that it was impossible to stop LW from collecting his second consecutive NFL Wolverine of the Week.

Honorable Mentions

  • Leon Hall- 5 tackles, 2 pass defends and, 1 INT.
  • Tim Jamison- 2 tackles, 2 TFLs, 2 sacks,  1 FF and a FR.

The Almost NFL Wolverine of the Week

  • Mario Manningham- Poor Super Mario had an almost great day for the Giants. He had a touchdown called back and a second long TD ruled incomplete. Although it was a rough day in the end for SM things are looking up for him and the 1st place(NFC East) Giants, look for big days from Manningham in the near future.
