I’m a couple hours late posting this but it’s a very important read regarding the basketball teams outlook.
Darius Morris does his best to avoid it. During championship week, though, it is impossible to escape if you watch any sports on television.
NCAA tournament talk is everywhere.
“I let other people worry about that,” Morris said. “If coaches tell us that we’re in, I listen that we’re in, but if the TV is on and you’re watching ESPN and you happen to see it, I’m not going to ignore it.
“I don’t go out there searching for it because you might be disappointed.”
Thus far, Michigan has little reason for bracketology disappointment. Most brackets have Michigan in the 68-team field. For now.
Of course, the Wolverines know that can change, especially when the Big Ten starts for Michigan on Friday against Illinois.
“You kind of pay attention to it but it’s just fun to watch,” he said. “But what are you going to do about it. I’m not sitting here thinking, ‘We need to beat these people by so many points or we need these people to lose.’”
Nope, that’s the job of AnnArbor.com, which now presents today’s bubble and bracket watch.
