Recruiting News 12/8/10

Good Afternoon all,

There are just a couple things I wanted to touch on that have been mentioned by followers. But first and foremost I wanted to talk about Michigan Commit Kellen Jones. In case you guys and gals missed it, Tom VanHaaren reported yesterday that Kellen Jones was named 1st team all district, 1st team all state, and district defensive player of the year. These are the kind of kids the program needs to turn it around. I know that’s an understatement but I wanted to start with some good news about someone already committed.

As for the issue that so many people are still bringing up, Dee Hart is still committed to Michigan. The reports we have found have stated that Hart will be staying Blue as long as Rich Rod remains the coach. The only weird thing that I’ve heard is that if he ends up not coming to Michigan, he would go to Florida. Which goes against many of the previous rumors going around, i.e. that Hart is looking towards Alabama if not Michigan. So I’m not entirely sure I should believe that part, but hopefully Rich Rod stays and so does Hart making that moot.

Right now I know of 3 official visitors for the Big Chill; LB Desmond Morgan, DE Anthony Zettel (I think if Rich Rod stays he’s coming to Michigan), and OL Chris Bryant (feel like he wants to go blue as well). In other news, heard Avery Walls might be making his decision Dec 14th. As I said in previous recruiting updates, I don’t feel too great about him going Blue.
