Great article by ESPN RISE MAGAZINE on Carlton Brundidge:
The basketball education of Carlton Brundidge was set in motion long before he was even born.
It began in the no-nonsense environment of West Point, N.Y., on the athletic grounds at Army. That’s where his dad, Clennie Brundidge, was a two-sport star from 1975-79, an All-American in football and a four year basketball player.
On the court, Clennie was taught by a young coach named Mike Krzyzewski, who was just starting a legendary career that would eventually include NCAA titles and an Olympic gold medal. Krzyzewski, who had played for Bobby Knight at Army, laid a foundation that can be found in Carlton today.
“Coach K was very demanding and really believed in personal accountability,” says Clennie, who was inducted into Army’s Sports Hall of Fame this year. “I learned early at Army that you have to have a plan and work that plan to the best of your abilities.”
